While the material is nice and gemmy, the cutting is sloppy with many beads being only partly faceted, many others being chipped, and the overall polish being low- some beads have a glassy polish, but most could only be described as a waxy luster.

This is why the “AAA” grading system is problematic- because it has no universal standard at its basis, it means only what the individual merchant says it does. Ah well- that’s why we figure the price of return postage into our purchases, unfortunately…

These beautiful beads were indeed 9mm, which is the size I ordered. They have good color. They are probably hand cut because the facets are a bit rough. No smooth edges but for the price, that is to be expected. In general, they are a good deal for pretty beads for a piece of casual jewelry.

Unique and rare darker rose colored quartz. Has a saturated depth of color. Great to sting using silk, to wear alone or layered with other gold and beaded necklaces.
