Muscovite belongs to the mica family. The name "muscovite" comes from the Russian province where green muscovite was found. Fuchsite is a type of green muscovite known for its intense striking green colors. Muscovite beads are often called green mica, green fuchsite, and green muscovite.

The cut on these is fair, but I think this is due to the type of material in the stone. It's not a stone that you see very often, so I was glad to have a strand of the little heishi beads. Thank you. :-)
