Lazasine is a gem-quality feldspar derived from volcano sediments related to Jurassic-Cretaceous volcanic rocks. This copper-bearing feldspar (andesine) is prized for its color and rarity. Orange-red to red is the typical color but green material is occasionally found. This red andesine is also called "Tibetan sunstone" and "Tibetan red labradorite", and endowed with spiritual power.
