This rare material was discovered next to a strawberry quartz mine in Chihuahua, Mexico. So please don't be surprised if you find a few beads with a tint of pink/red coloration, which is likely caused by the rich iron oxide deposits in the area. The same mineral is known for contributing to the pink/red colors for strawberry quartz.

My third order of these. They are some of my favorite stones. They are clear, with tiny black platelets evenly dispersed in the quartz. Some of them are a very very pale clear pink, just lovely and special. None are opaque in the least, very high quality stones.
