It features bubbly azurite spots floating against a black and white speckled background composed of quartz, sodium plagioclase, muscovite, and biotite. This extremely rare and powerful stone was discovered in the foothills of world's second highest mountain, Mount K2. We've been working with this exciting stone ever since it was first found a few years ago. In Feb 2017, the miners we have worked informed us that they had discovered a brand new deposit of K2 and they named it New K2/K2 2017.
Unlike the old K2 material which has the grains of black biotite, this new K2 material has a very beautiful white background which contributes to the fine quartz deposits in the natural stones.
