Lovely, well matched pair for making earrings. Mine were mostly purple with lovely color variation but very minimal amount of the sandy matrix look shown in the pictures. That was fine for me as it worked well with the rest of the set I was making as a gift but as a heads up, not all pairs have such defined features. Would purchase again.

These stones are exactly as advertised- beautiful and great quality!
The ones I received actually did not look like any shown in that group picture. This pair has very little amethyst included, as if the crystal portion was cut off. It is almost entirely the brown and white material. Whatever this external material consists of, is what you would recognize, and this pair should be listed primarily as that rock. It is hard to imagine anyone to see this being worn to call it amethyst.
